The elements of the plot are primarily delivered via a storybook-like interface presented just below every level. The game shows a few things which are not present in the film. The in-laws of Shrek are not very happy about the fact that he is marrying their daughter Fiona and the struggle fie acceptance continues. Fiona and Shrek are on a mission to a distant kingdom to visit the parents of Fiona. The storyline of Shrek 2 keeps following a plot that is similar to the film. In this game version, the player can play being Shrek or any of his friends and keep traveling across 11 levels. The game got both positive and mixed reviews from critics.
